Long time no talk!!! A ton has happened in the past few months. I have finished all of the new material for the new record stay tuned for the release date!! I am currently in Nashville visiting people promoting the new single, “The Man I’m Not.” It is set to hit radio starting August 29th. I will begin a 35 day radio tour across this great country on August 22 and I will post something every day keeping you guys up to speed about how it is going out there!! Love yall and God Bless!!

We had a HELL of a weekend we were victorious in our venture to Yorktown for their annual Fool’s Folly Battle Of The Bands. We were up against some good competition and made some new friends and we won the opening slot for this year’s Yorktown Days-Ziegfest Festival which is a HUGE event. I cannot wait to go there in October to kick off that thing!!! Thanks to all that voted for us in a new town and thanks for all of the small town hospitality!!!!!! See you in October Yorktown!!!!

I have had a great 2011 already and it is only February!!! I received my first award nomination this year for the Texas Regional Radio Awards as Top New Male Vocalist and I am now a finalist (Top 5). You may vote for me at www.trrma.texasregionalradio.com. You have to register, but it is free and only takes around 2 minutes. I would really appreciate all of your support from out there. Also, the second full album will be in the works next month so we can get some new material out there to you guys. Michael Vann on Drums

Michael Vann is a percussionist and drummer originally from Houston, Texas.  He spent his early years playing in the punk/ska/reggae scene in a hard working, 8-piece ska band called “Misunderstood.”  Michael recorded two full-length albums with this first project and played festivals such as Warped Tour and many clubs all over the Houston Area.  This group disbanded to go college.

In 2001, Michael attended Texas Tech University as a Music Education Major with an emphasis in percussion.  Here, Michael honed his skills on many different instruments and gained background knowledge on many different styles such as calypso, funk, R&B, jazz, rock, 2nd line, rumba and many American Pop styles.  Michael participated in the Texas Tech steel pan ensemble “Apocalypso Now,” Jazz combos, Texas Tech Afro Cuban ensemble, and many other Percussion ensembles.

In 2006, Michael auditioned for his first touring group, “Danny Cadra and The Fifth Wheel.”  This was also his first experience with country.  He spent over a year touring the country with the Fifth Wheel Band.  In the summer of 2007 Michael was asked to join a house band for “Cowboys” Night Club in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  At this time Michael returned to school and became the Texas Tech Modern Dance Staff accompanist.  In this situation Michael learned many important recording, looping, and layering techniques that has helped with his understanding of electronic music.  He also continues to play as a freelance musician in many other groups in the West Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma area such as The Lightfoot Band, The Zachson 5, Kurt Billberry Band, The Jake Kellen Band, The Hogg Maulies, Penni Lawrence Band, Charlie Shafter and the Gnomes and many others.

Michael joined The Brenda Kay Band out of Abilene, Texas in the summer of 2009 and also plays with (when possible) Circus Bear Trickery

As of the spring of 2010 Michael was asked to play with the Brian Milson band and currently plays with him full time.  Brian had a top 30 hit on the Texas Regional charts with “Saltwater Cowboy.”  He has played all over the south-central region with The Brian Milson Band, including festivals and headlining shows.

Bobby Barber on Bass

I was born, raised and still reside in Big Spring, Texas. I began playing drums at around the age of 12 in church, moved to the bass and guitar not long after. I took bass lessons from the legendary Don Tolle who played with Hoyle and Ben Nix for several years.  My first bass was an SG Gibson, which was a gift from my parents. Although the guitar, which was “self taught”, is my favorite instrument, Don Tolle’s bass influence of country music has brought me back to where I am today playing bass with The Brian Milson Band.

During my earlier years I would say I was all rock-n-roll with KISS as one of my all time favorite bands, followed by 38 Special and Bryan Adams.  Playing in church helped me to stay disciplined with my playing and eventually evolved me into song writing, which I enjoy working on in my spare time.  A few of my favorite Christian and Country artists who have had an influence on the style of music I play are Daryl Evans, Sonic Flood, Pat Green, Jason Aldean, and Keith Urban … music with a little edge.

I still enjoy playing and have played in churches, with many friends, and numerous bands and venues in the West Texas area.  To me, playing music should be playing what you like, let loose a little and have fun with it.
